Over the last couple of years, one of our CatalystVETS partners has embraced the 4-C Blueprint and has seen amazing success.
Let me preface this by saying, they are in a smaller city in North Carolina which is not a “hot-bed” for new growth and they have had very minor price increases this year. That being said, their numbers are ridiculous and exceeded their expectations!
Our CatalystVETS partner hospital is a member of the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association (VHMA) so each month they get information comparing them to over 400 VHMA member practices. The CatalystVETs hospital’s numbers are bolded and are compared with the averages of over 400 VHMA member practices.
|March 2015 vs. March 2014||VHMA
|New Client growth||-5.5%||vs.||+28%|
|April 2015 vs. April 2014|
|New Client Growth||-10%||vs.||-13.95%|
The practice owner also just told me that their June 2015 numbers are going to be the best June ever for the practice.
Let be clear here, this is not from raising prices. This is not from buying a new piece of equipment. This is not from starting a customer awards program.
These amazing numbers are from having CLARITY about who they are and what they do.
They have taken the time to figure out their purpose and their values and they discuss them with their team.
They only hire people who “get” their core values as well as having the skills they need. The beauty of this type of hiring is their turnover is low and they actually have a united team who “gets” what they are trying to accomplish.
The owner of the practice is not working 60 hours a week and no one else in the practice is either.
I am not going to tell you this has been easy for this hospital to get where they are but it is not complicated.
We are constantly being bombarded with this new thing we have to buy or this new rewards program we have to begin but the truth of the matter is without CLARITY your practice will never be the success it COULD be.
There is a lot to be concerned about in veterinary medicine -the crazy amounts of debt that new grads are leaving school with, the over saturation of veterinarians in the market place and the corporate takeover of our profession.
It is hospitals like this one and the others in our CatalystVETS community that give me hope. They have shown me that these ideas work and they will enable small business animal hospitals the ability not just to survive but to THIRVE.
Do you want to see numbers like this CatalystVETS hospital’s? It is possible with clarity and we can help you do just that!
Come join us at our next Quarterly gathering and see what CatalystVETS is all about!
